Drama and Art projects planning begins
With the arrival of new volunteers brimming with ideas and enthusiasm for our planned drama and art projects, planning has begun in earnest. Both projects will be targeting those children in community who just want to "have a go", as well as providing a pathway for those young people with talent so they have the opportunity to see where that talent can take them. Youth football league nears start
With volunteer Area Managers appointed for the four initial Thika regions, referees and coaches trained, Life Skills coordinators appointed, and teams being informed of the crackdown on overage players, the launch date of the planned youth football league approaches. This will be a major achievement for this 8 month old community organisation, and one which MYI have targeted since day one. [more]
